When they are trying to help...don't complain

It was very interesting to see how other people react to the questionnaire they give you before the Pre-Op or the MRI. I had three instances today in which the patients filling the forms kept bitching and moaning about how stupid the questions on the survey were. Do you have any previous conditions such as.. do you have metal anywhere in your body... these people could not a) shut up and b) realize that it is kind of important to let the nurses know if you have a metal part that the M in MRI (magnetic!) could damage. UGH!!! dense dense dense.

Isn't it just amazing how many people go under the knife w/o any sense of what's really going on! It's not just fear of knowing, I thinks it's plain ignorance in thinking that they are blindly trusting these DR's, who are truely practicing medicine.
Yes, there is some skill in there & perhaps alot of "experience" BUT they never truelly tell you WHAT they have "experienced" on!!! You do need to trust but with alot of skeptisicm regardless. We're all just walking guinea pigs to them.
I don't care what you say about their experience. The black hole exists & you're a fool if you don't realize that! You, dear Mima, are a realist & a Curious George that's why you understand the whole process of eliminations. Don't frustrate yourself over simple people. Unless you feel the need to dominate, educate & teach them in your own way... ;-)
March on Soldier. Your troops await....
Peace, strength & courage.

With luck maybe they have some metal in the brain.

You and Paul are in our thoughts and prayers.

Give the Mr. Nasty a run for the money.

Mima,

Our thoughts and good wishes are with you. Do not distract the gorgeous surgeon - let him do his magic work and kill the bastards in you. We are being positive for you. BTW are there photos of the surgeon?
