Meditation & Breathing
Since I am relearning how to breathe, it was suggested to me to get a meditation cd. If anyone knows of a good meditation cd that emphasises breathing and concentration, please let me know.
Knitting, books, theater, travel, skiing, cycling and whatever crosses my mind.

I don't know about meditation cd's but spellcheck certainly gives ME peace of mind...
I guess the lamaze one's won't help too much huh?
"Meditation" and "CD" seem diametrically opposed. Listening to music while "meditating" is really just listening to music.
From what I know about meditation, the point is to empty your mind of everything. It's a hard thing to do, but mantras seem to help. A mantra becomes "invisible" after a while, therefore does not occupy any space in your mind.
If you don't like mantras, you can focus on your breathing...how convenient. Count your breaths and the moment your mind wanders to thoughts of, well, anything else, go back to your counting. It takes a lot of patience and discipline, but the reawards can be great.
You probably already do some form of meditation. Don't you "space out" as you are working on rows when you knit? The repetitive movement of your fingers is your mantra. Get it? Now you just need to lose the needles and "space out" by focusing on your mantra or your breathing or a stationary object.
A quiet place and a comfortable chair (or place to sit) is all you need.
