Oh Orpheus where are you????

Sleep eluded me from 2:00am till ...well I never went back to bed. The anticipation is like a first day of school combined with the first final of senior year. Today is radiation and I have no idea what to expect... but since it is in 2 hours I will find out soon. DAMN THIS SUCKS

ps. The Ativan produced some weird ass dreams but not the expected restful sleep

My darling brother--yes, it is la llorona--the task for the day, get something that works so you can sleep. You know me one task a day keeps the doctor away.

Hi Mima: It's Karen Drake (formerly of Karen and Rebecca). Talked to Dave C. last night and he filled me in. The first thing I thought was what a great personality and positive attitude about life you always seemed to have each time I saw you at Dave and Fran's. So,I'm thinking it is those 2 things that will get you through this. I also remember how I admired you and Paul for selling your beautiful home in Jamaica Plain and downsizing to what I hear is a fabulus place at the Marina in Quincy - you were very determined and matter-of-fact about your decision and how good you felt about it. Nothing seemd too tied-up in the JP house to keep you from forging ahead with a very significant life change. Your determination then, and now, is yet another quality that will put this next challenge in its rightful place...
I'll be thinking of you and Paul. Dave has promised to keep me updated and I'll check your blog as well.
If there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate...
Karen

Hi Mima, it's Richard from TJX. My thoughts and prayers (yes, Lauren is making me go to church) are with you. You're a very strong willed person who will give cancer one hell of a fight. If you need me to put my gloves on to assist in anyway, please don't hesitate to call. Looking forward to seeing you at my wedding in July.

LIVESTRONG.....Rich

Ok Bossman...you & I have had these talks before! To quote someone as famous as you "DRUGS ARE YOUR FRIEND". Use them no matter what to fix the ailment.
My Pop had the same problem, sleep became an anonomous ghost. He would nap in weird intervals, at whatever time of the day. Take advantage of them, you will need the re-charge even if it's only for a brief moment of time! Welcome the sleep & try not to fight it even if it's at an incovienent time. I know how you live by schedules & spreadsheets. This is not something you can schedule!
GIVE INTO DAMMIT!
It's for your own good!!! So there.
